ISLAMABAD – National Telecom & Information Security Board (NTISB) on Monday forbid the Government officers not to download or play Pokemon Go.
As per reports, NTISB in its letter mentions that the game poses technical and non-technical threats.
NTISB cited it as serious national security problems in sensitive areas, The News Tribe reported.
The technical threats are the same as the ones mentioned earlier: Global Positioning System (GPS) and camera can be used to find your location or to spy on you.
The non-technical threat is that the person playing the game is not wary of his/her surroundings which can harm the person.
Even though the game gained a lot of popularity, it has since then declined with time, with other apps replacing it for the top spot as the most popular app.
