GUJRANWALA – More than 9 fire brigades have been deployed to extinguish a fire at a plastic goods’ manufacturing factory in Gujranwala, local media reported.
The factory caught fire around four hours ago today (Thursday) which is getting intensive as it is inching closer and closer to adjacent factories.
After the inferno broke out, fire crew reached the spot and still trying to take control over the situation.
It is feared that the factory is so damaged that it could collapse.
Following the instruction of assistant commissioner, the nearby factories have been vacated to limit the damages.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the authorities to expedite efforts to control the fire.
No loss of life has been reported so far.
