LAHORE – Metro Bus Operations in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad remained suspended tomorrow amid stern security measures.
A notification shared by the District Magistrate’s Office in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) said Metro Bus services will continue to be suspended on October 17, 2024. This marks the fourth consecutive day of halted operations due to security measures related to the ongoing Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.
All Metro Bus routes will be closed on this date, with relevant authorities being formally informed, it said.
Residents and commuters should plan their travel accordingly, as the service suspension is likely to disrupt public transportation.
Officials said normal operations will recommence after the summit concludes and security protocols are relaxed.
