The Oscars director and a man with vision Glenn Weiss 57 took over the Emmys stage to take his award for Directing for a variety special. Right after he started his speech where he said to his girlfriend Jan Svendsen (who was in the audience watching her bae accept the award) ‘You wonder why I don’t like to call you my girlfriend?’ Because I want to call you my wife.’
Well that’s when all the surprise started for Svendsen as the audience gave them a standing ovation and the camera focused on Svendsen all surprised sitting in the audience. She made her way up to the stage where Weiss went down on his knees and took out the engagement ring. Which btw was given by his father to his mother 65 years ago.
He popped the question and we could hear Svendsen’s muffled voice ‘Yes, of course I will.’ Well that’s when twitter went all crazy calling it the best part of Emmy Awards 2018. Every girl dreams to have an extravagant proposal and this is what she got from the right person at the right time.
