LAHORE – In a significant legal development, the Peshawar High Court has granted transit bail to renowned journalist Imran Riaz, extending protection until October 7, 2024.
Presiding over the hearing, Justice Shakeel Ahmad ruled in favor of the journalist, allowing him the opportunity to appear before the relevant courts in connection with multiple cases registered against him.
Imran Riaz’s counsel argued that his client was eager to cooperate with the legal process and requested the court to grant transit bail, ensuring his ability to attend proceedings without immediate arrest. The court accepted the plea, ordering the journalist to appear before the respective courts by the set deadline.
