SARGODHA – A woman and her daughter were tortured to death and her two children were injured by her husband in Phularwan police precincts.
Police sources said on Friday that one Zafar, a resident of Phularwan area of Tehsil Bhalwal contracted marriage with a widow Asia Bibi, who had two daughters from her first husband. The accused wanted to marry her daughters off without her wife’s consent. As a result of the dispute, Asia shifted to her parents’ home.
On the day of the incident, Zafar along with his accomplices entered the house of his in-laws, tortured his wife Asia Bibi and her children, and fled the scene. Asia Bibi and Noor Fatima died on-the-spot while Ameer Bibi and 14-year-old son Ali Raza were injured seriously.
The bodies and the injured were shifted to the hospital. The Police have registered a case on a complaint of Asia’s brother Azhar Iqbal.
