Turkey announces to move troops from Iraq

ANKARA (News Desk) – Just a day after US President Barack Obama asked Turkey to take required steps to disperse the intense situation with Iraq, Ankara has announced that it would soon move their troops from Iraq.

The Turkish troops were deployed in Bashiqa military base near city of Mosul to train Iraqi forces to combat Islamic State militants, according to Turkish Foreign Ministry. On the other hand Baghdad categorically dismissed the statement saying that Ankara was violating its sovereignty by deploying troops on its territory.

According to media reports, the Turkish announcement about withdrawal of troops from Iraq however did not carry any time frame for the move. It also included no information about the next place of deployment of troops.
