LAHORE – Punjab government on Tuesday shelved a plan to organise a women’s motorbike rally at the opening ceremony of PSL 2018 semi-final in Lahore for unknown reasons.
An official of Chief Minister’s Strategic Reforms Unit (SRU) confirmed that rally, which was set to be carried out by the Women on Wheels (WOW) today at Gaddafi Stadium before PSL match, has been cancelled, but declined to tell the reason.
Women-on-Wheels trainees had been invited to the PSL semi-final in efforts to promote women empowerment.
It appears that the first women bikers rally has been cancelled due to security as foreign players are also taking part in the game.
