Lahore: Robbers kill young man going to buy sacrificial animal

LAHORE – A young man was gunned down on Wednesday during a robbery near Harbanspura area of Lahore, local media reported.

Faisal was going to a local cattle market carrying Rs 0.2 million to buy a sacrificial animal for Eid-ul-Azha when two robbers allegedly intercepted him.

According to police, the deceased person showed resistance when the robbers tried to snatch money from him. During the brawl, the robbers opened fire at him that killed him on the spot.

The police have shifted the body to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Family sources have informed Faisal was due to be married after Eid-ul-Azha.
