Pakistanis sent 172,109 complaints to PM Imran in two months
ISLAMABAD - A two-month performance report of a citizens’ complaint receiving system launched by Prime Minister Imran Khan to improve governance in the country was issued on Sunday.

As per the details, as many as 172,109 complaints were lodged by people through Pakistan Citizens' Portal (PCP), while 59,632 complaints were addressed during the previous two months.

Around 112,477 complaints are yet to be addressed by the federal government.

According to the performance report, most of the complaints were filed from Punjab province. Citizens filed 81,021 complaints while 28,503 were resolved.

25,476 complaints were filed from Sindh while 1,558 have been addressed. Similarly, the prime minister received  20,939 complaints from Khyber Paktunkhwa of which 7,999 have been resolved.

In October, PM Imran Khan had launched the complaint system aimed at improving governance and addressing people’s problems under his own supervision as soon as possible.

The system has been set up by the Prime Minister’s Performance Delivery Unit while it has been connected to 60 percent of government offices in the federal capital and provinces through internet to receive people’s complaints and transmit them to the departments concerned.

According to the unit, complaints can be lodged by downloading the prescribed app on android phones or through its website. Every complaint has to be addressed within two weeks, Dawn News reported.
