GUJRANWALA – As many as six children among seven were left dead after a school wall collapsed in Gujranwala city on Saturday.
According to rescue sources, the incident happened during a ceremony arranged in the school ‘KT Model’ located at the Kashmir Road. The tragedy left 16 others injured as well who were rushed to a nearby hospital in the city.
The Deputy Commissioner of Gujranwala detailed that most of the injured were in a precarious condition adding that the principal of the institute, Tariq Saeed fled the scene.
Chief Minister Punjab, Sardar Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and expressed grief with the bereaved families. Moreover, Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas also took notice of the incident and made a visit to Gujranwala.
