PARIS (Web Desk) – Since several French cities imposed a ban on Burkini at their beaches, the number of discriminatory incidents against Muslims is increasing with every passing day.
According to Daily Mail Online, French police have established special squads armed with pepper spray and batons to implement the ban. The officers also hand on-spot fines to the violators.
In a latest incident to this effect, a Muslim woman was ordered by the French authorities to take off her dress, which looked similar to Burkini and covered her body parts at a beach in the city of Nice.
Media reports suggested that the middle-aged woman of Nigerian origin was quietly sunbathing on the Promenade des Anglais beach when she was encountered by the police. She was also handed an on-spot fine.
The woman was given a prior warning that her dress was not allowed at the beach anymore, the officials said in a statement.
