DUBAI – Pakistan overpowered West Indies by 133 runs in the second Test on the fifth and final day in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday to take an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Set a mammoth 456-run target, West Indies were bowled out for 322 in their second innings with leg-spinner Yasir Shah bundling out 6 crucial players for 124 runs at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
Jermaine Blackwood top scored with 95 while Shai Hope made 41. Yasir Shah was declared “Man of the Match” while Younis Khan bagged “Batsman of the Match” award.
The third and final Test will be played in Sharjah from October 30. Pakistan has already clinched the series with Tuesday’s performance.
Pakistan’s ecstatic Misbah Ul Haq said that we did planning before the match and analyzed the conditions to overpower the West Indian side in the second match.
