Where is Balakot? Did India enter Pakistani airspace?

Lahore – Early morning on Tuesday, DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor announced to the media that IAF jets had tried to violate Pakistani airspace but were successfully chased out by PAF. However, one word from the DG ISPR tweet has caused panic in Pakistan: Balakot.

According to DG ISPR, the IAF jets hurriedly dropped their payloads near Balakot while PAF jets were chasing them away. This has caused significant confusion in Pakistan because there are two (2) Balakots. One Balakot is in KPK province of Pakistan and another is a Balakot village on the line of control (LoC) in Pakistani side of Kashmir (AJK).

According to the reports, the Balakot in question is one in Azad Jammu Kashmir. Indian jets could only come inside Pakistani airspace for 3-4 miles.
