A large number of marriageable women in Pakistan is finding it hard to find matches.
According to a report of the United Nations, around 10 million women above 35 are awaiting marriage in Pakistan. This report shows an increase in the problems facing marriageable women in Pakistan.
According to a UN report from the last year, 22 million men and women are awaiting marriage in Pakistan. The report says that parents marry their children off to their cousins due to unavailability of matches for both men and women.
Now there is even a shortage of marriageable cousins therefore parents seem convinced to marrying off their children to other tribes. However, now parents seem to be reluctant to marrying off their children to other tribes due to unavailability of suitable and respectable matches outside their tribes.
