Govt okays Rs. 132 billion hike in defense spending

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - The government has decided to increase the defense budget by Rs. 132 billion during the next financial year, taking total defense spending from Rs 788 billion this year to Rs 920 billion next year.
According to sources, the decision was made in view of the fight against terrorism and to counter Indian military ambitions in the region.
