SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people, defying curfew and other restrictions, turned up at the funeral of martyr, Faizan Ahmed Butt at Tral in Pulwama district.
The funeral of Faizan, 16, was held at Darul Uloom road in Tral. Mourners drove in thousands to town to participate in the funeral and to have a last glimpse of the martyred youth.
People from all walks of life including the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Mohammad Yasin Malik participated in the funeral. Yasin Malik also addressed the mourners on the occasion.
Local mosques were reverberating with pro-Islam and pro-freedom slogans as Faizan Ahmed Butt, the only son of his parents, was buried amid sobs and tears next to Burhan’s grave at Eidgah in Tral.-Online
