LAHORE – The city police claimed on Friday to have arrested two suspected swindlers who allegedly left a minor boy at a mobile phone shop in a Lahore neighbourhood after cheating its owner.
According to the police, suspects Zain and Mahmood have a history of involvement in acts of robberies.
A team of the Raiwind police earlier on Feb 18 arrested Ahmed, a resident of Green Town, on Feb 18 on suspicion of being swindlers accomplice and brutally tortured him in the custody.

The victim boy had said a boy took him along to a mobile phone shop and asked the shopkeeper to let him take a phone set his home to show it to his family members as he (Ahmed) will stay at the shop until his return.
He said the boy introduced him to the shop owner as his younger brother.
When he didn’t return, the shop owner handed me over to the police, he said, adding that police officials kept asking him about the whereabouts of the boy. He said he repeatedly told the police that he didn’t know the boy yet they subjected him to torture and forced him sit on a heater.
