QUETTA (Staff Report) – As many as 204 suspected terrorists have been killed in different parts of Balochistan during targeted actions since the start this year.
According to a report of provincial home ministry the security forces have so far carried out 1863 targeted operations in Balochistan under the directions laid down in National Action Plan (NAP). Another 8,326 suspected militants have also been arrested in these actions.
The law enforcement agencies recovered over 3,000 weapons and more than 200,000 rounds of ammunition from December 16, 2014 to September 15, 2015.
The registration of over 2600 Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) has been suspended by the provincial government.
Earlier a similar report released by the Sindh home ministry said that a total of 343 terrorists were killed and 370 were arrested under the National Action Plan so far.
