Indian Army Dog Squad to receive canine tribute on Republic Day

NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – India has recently taken a decision to include the Army Dog Squad in the Republic Day parade for the first time after 26 years.

According to details following the sacrifice of Mansi, a four-year-old Labrador, and her master Bashir Ahmed War at the hands of heavily-armed infiltrators at Tangdhar district in Kashmir last August.

Earlier, the Army had a practice of shooting the old dogs after they were reported to be unfit to serve.
