LAHORE (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has warned that employees of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will lose their jobs and can be sent to jail for a year.
Talking to reporters during his visit to a coal power plant in Sahiwal, Nawaz said that airline employees working during the strike will be given special rewards for their service.

On Monday, Nawaz Sharif has approved the Essential Services Maintenance Act 1952 for Pakistan International Airlines for a period of six months.
The move comes as PIA employees have threatened to halt flight operations today, following the failure of talks with the government on the proposed privatisation move.
