LAHORE (Online) – A man died after being allegedly assaulted by police near Lahore Railway Station on Friday.
According to news agency Online, Custom officials and police personnel carried out an operation against pan and gutka shops and vandalised the shops. A shopkeeper, identified as Akhtar Ayub, resisted with the officials and police.
Cops allegedly assaulted the shopkeeper who succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The body was shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
After the incident, the protesters blocked the road and staged protest.
