Pakistani Weightlifter Nooh Dastgir Butt Bags Gold Medals In Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship

Pakistan’s ace weightlifter Nooh Dastgir Butt made an extraordinary debut in powerlifting, claiming the Commonwealth Champion title in the 120kg category at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship.

Butt showcased his strength by securing three gold medals and one bronze in his first-ever powerlifting competition, lifting a total of 860kg in the open category to win the championship title.

He dominated individual events as well, lifting 370kg in the squat for a gold medal and 210kg in the bench press for another gold. He also earned a bronze in the deadlift with a 280kg lift.

This debut in powerlifting marks a major achievement for Butt, who previously garnered multiple medals in weightlifting. After parting ways with the Pakistan Weightlifting Federation, Butt shifted to powerlifting, where he has already made a name for himself and brought international glory to Pakistan.
