LHC rejects plea seeking ban on Indian movies

LAHORE (Staff Report) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday has rejected a petition seeking ban on the display of Indian movies in Pakistani cinemas

LHC judge Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah heard a case petition, challenging the exhibition of Bollywood films in the country.

During the hearing, petitioner informed the court that showing Bollywood films in Pakistan is against import policy 2013 and motion pictures ordinance 1979.

After hearing the arguments, the court has disposed of the plea by directing the petitioner to approach relevant forum.
