Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey apologizes after white supremacist ad stirs outrage

NEW YORK – Chief Executive Officer of Twitter Jack Dorsey apologized on Thursday after the microblogging service hosted a racist ad promoting white supremacy.

The ad titled “‘New Article: The United States Was Founded as a White People’s Republic’ on NEW ORDER website” showed eight white children in a field.

The tweet was linked to an article titled “The United States Was Founded as a White People’s Republic” on the website of the New Order, a Neo-Nazi group.

But the ad instead of generating revenue stirred outrage on social media against the racism being promoted.
