ISLAMABAD – The opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah said that the name of new Islamabad airport should be associated with Benazir Bhutto, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan threatening to move Supreme court if the government alters its name.
The PPP leader said that Nawaz Sharif came back to Pakistan after ending 10 years of exile because of Benazir Bhutto so new Islamabad airport should be named after her.
The lawmaker said that next general elections would depend upon the caretaker setup and they were trying to bring the best candidate for caretaker Prime Minister.

He continued that they had not started consultations regarding interim setup yet but added that the party would try to bring a name for PM after a consultative meeting.
The 65 years old politician asserted that they accepted the Returning Officer (RO) election of 2013 and it was PPP which foiled the attack on parliament in 2014.
He blamed PML-N for introducing bad traditions and advised them to give sanctity to parliament or ‘they should not blame judiciary and military establishment for disrespecting the legislature’.
If we can give respect to each other, only then the democracy can flourish in the country, he concluded.
