KARACHI – Transgender model and social activist Kami Sid is all set to make Pakistan proud on an international level. Her short film Rani has been selected to be screened at 13th annual NBC film festival.
Pakistani short film Rani one the finalist and we hope that this movie wins the award. The festival is one of Hollywood’s premier diversity short film festival and is known for discovering the next generation of storytellers.
Earlier, Sid’s short film Rani premiered at the Newport Beach Film Festival in the United States.

The film tells the story of Rani, a transgender toy vendor who finds an abandoned infant. The short film is one of the six movies that is selected for the final screening from a pool of over 3500 films.

The film will be screened in Los Angeles on October 24th. Earlier the short film was screened at the Newport Beach Film Festival in the US as part of “A Short Moment of Decision” programme.
