KARACHI – The paramilitary forces arrested at least seven people during raids in different areas of Karachi on Friday, informed Rangers spokesperson.

The suspects were involved in a number of crimes and one of them identified as Muhammad Danish Akhtar was an activist of MQM-London.

Moreover, two suspects, Syed Ali and Sheeraz, were detained in raids conducted at Gulberg, Lyari and Saudabad on the charges of mobile snatching and other crimes in metropolis.

Two unregistered Afghan nationals and a drug peddler Jangi Baloch have also been arrested from Lyari. Illegal weapons and narcotics were recovered from the latter, according to the spokesperson.

A dacoit named Asif was also arrested from Saudabad.

The Rangers spokesperson informed that the suspects were handed over to police for legal action.
