'Sex in car': Police action saves AC Gojra from mob beating after caught ‘making out’ with a local girl

Syed Tanveer Murtaza, an assistant commissioner formerly stationed in Gojra City of Toba Tek Singh district, was found in ‘a compromising position’ with a girl inside his car parked at an abandoned house in Hussaina Colony, adjacent to Pansara Road Bypass.
Gojra city police SHO Rana Abdul Ghafoor told the media that they received a tip-off that a man was found kissing a young girl (A) in a car bearing registration No 5199 LEB (Toyota GLI).
“On this information, they (the patrol officer) immediately rushed towards the scene and found the man in compromising position with a girl.
“Both were taken into custody for having committed ‘offence of public annoyance as they were involved in an obscene act’ and registered a case under section 294 of the Pakistan Penal Code vide FIR 576/17,” the SHO added.
The quick police action proved to be life-saving for Murtaza, who is currently an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in Lahore and denies any wrongdoing.
A number of villagers had encircled the house suspecting some foul play hours after they found a car parked inside. Soon as they managed to open the car, the villagers forced both of them to come out. Some even thrashed the ex-AC while in the meantime a police party reached the spot and arrested the accused.
Locals say the girl belonged to a colony nearby and “both are having illicit relations.”
According to few eyewitnesses, despite finding them in compromising position, police registered a case of only minor offence due to the pressure of the accused assistant commissioner.
Murtaza says he served the area as an assistant commissioner and certain groups concocted a story of his relationship with the daughter of his friend in revenge.
“We just went to see a house, rest of the events are false and rubbish,” he said. He, however, praised the police for timely reaching at the scene and saved them from, what he termed the group of his enemies, who were bent upon humiliating him publicly.
Both the accused were formally challaned as they were found guilty of the offence as envisages under Section 294 PPC and were presented before a magistrate.
The court agreed with the police plea and granted remand, however, subsequently, ordered them to be released on bail as the offence was bailable.
