Janjua urges Pakistan, India to invest in peace

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s National Security Adviser Lt-General (retd.) Nasir Khan Janjua has urged both Pakistan and India to invest in peace for better bilateral ties.

Addressing Global Peace Conference, Janua said that Pakistan has been fighting war against terrorism on behalf of whole world and nobody knows significance of peace better than us. World needs to recognize our sacrifices for global peace, he added.

He went on to say that Pakistan and Afghanistan were pushed towards wars in last many decades. We did not invite Russia to attack Afghanistan, he maintained.

On the occasion he also called for an end to the ongoing conflicts in Muslim world, asking the global leaders resolve issues through dialogues.
