GILGIT (Staff Report) – The parents of a 5-year-old boy have blamed ‘Jinns’ for the murder of their child who was kidnapped when he went to a nearby water spring four days ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
The parents were told by a local Pir (spiritual leader) that boy was kidnapped by some evil jinns who left his body after completion of their ‘task’. The parents repeated the same before police authorities.
According to media reports Ahmad went missing on September 20 when he went out to get water with his father. The tortured dead body of the boy was later recovered from nearby forest on October 1.
However the Police officials approached the court seeking permission to reopen boy’s grave to complete investigation of the murder case.
Upon court’s nod the grave of the boy was reopened and samples were collected from his corpse, which have been sent to forensic laboratory. According to Police the actual cause of the death of the boy will be disclosed after the we receive the results from lab.
This is not the first time when Pirs have blamed evil spirits for torturing and murdering of small boys in this region, the police said.
