KARACHI – The Sindh police known for its “efficiency” went a mile more and brought explosive material to the court here on Tuesday.
According to Express News, the anti-terrorism court was hearing a petition pertaining to explosive material seized from militants but the situation became interesting when Sindh police officials actually brought the explosive material as an evidence.
Eyewitnesses who were rationally horrified by the act claimed that the material was stuffed inside sacks, carried in a police vehicle flouting the basic principles of safety.
Reportedly, the material was kept open in the premises of court and no security personnel was deployed to keep an eye on it.
Another incident of the same nature happened back in April when a hand grenade exploded inside courtroom in Karachi’s Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) after a judge asked a police constable if he knew how grenades worked.
The constable, instead of explaining his expertise in weapons and grenade handling to the judge, opted to demonstrate practically by promptly pulling out the pin from the grenade, injuring three.
