Zarb-e-Azb: A year on

RAWALPINDI (Staff Report) – The military operation, Zarb-e-Azb, has been continued in across the country and huge successes have been gained since its beginning one year ago, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Asim Bajwa said on Saturday.

In a series of tweets, Major General Asim Bajwa informed that a huge number of terrorists have been killed and their strongholds have been completely destroyed.

Besides taking over the grounds from the terrorists, huge cache of explosives and arms have been impounded by the Pakistan Army.

The ISPR DG also said 347 officers and soldiers of Pak-Army have embraced martyrdom in the military operation against terrorists.

He also detailed the types of weapons seized from the terrorists during Zarb-e-Azb.

Last year on June 15, Pakistan formally announced to have launched a full scale operation, Zarb-e-Azb, against local and foreign terrorists in North Waziristan Agency.
