Lahore- Theatre performances in Pakistan are now being replaced by stage dances but let’s not forget the comedy legends like Babu Baral who was a still known for his theatrical performances and comedy. Artists and fans came together to remember Babu on his seventh death anniversary. He passed away in 2011 leaving behind a lot of memories and laugh which will stay with his fans forever.
Senior artist like Shiba Butt and director, actor Goshi Khan remembered him as the king of comedy. People now only go for stage dances where as two decades of Babu’s performances were comdey packed entertainment. He was enriched with natural talent which is important for any theater actor said Ashraf Rahi.
He started his career from Gujaranwala in 1982, his versatile acting brought him to the stages of Lahore giving him all the name and fame. He fell ill in 2010 when his career was on peak. He not only performed in Pakistan but internationally as well. He was one of the best commercial artists said Rahi. However last years of his life were true tragedy as he died in poverty. Which proves that future of our artists are not secure.
