Biden Stresses Strong Us Pakistan Cooperation To Combat Global Threats

WASHINGTON – US President Joe Biden sheds light on key role of US-Pakistan relationship in ensuring regional stability and security.

He made these remarks in a ceremony at the Blair House Pakistan’s new Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh presented credentials. In his remarks, the US President expressed appreciation for the cooperation between Islamabad and Washington in combating terrorist threats and highlighted the enduring partnership that has developed over more than 75 years.

The ceremony was attended by members of the diplomatic community and senior US officials, showcasing the significance of this diplomatic milestone.

Ambassador Rizwan Saeed conveyed greetings from the leadership of Pakistan and emphasized the rich legacy of cooperative relations. He noted that both countries continue to invest in their partnership, focusing on critical areas such as climate change, energy, health, trade, and investment.

Sheikh further highlighted the economic ties between the US and Pakistan, saying Washington remains the largest destination for Pakistani exports. He also expressed Pakistan’s readiness to enhance trade and welcome US investments in sectors like alternative energy, green technology, and higher education.

Biden reiterated the importance of structured dialogues in both security and non-security matters to invigorate the bilateral relationship.  He expressed optimism about working with Ambassador Sheikh to advance their shared agenda and deepen the ties between the United States and Pakistan.
