ISLAMABAD – The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee confirmed Thursday sighting of the moon of Muharram-ul-Haram, the first month of the Islamic calendar.
Chairman of the Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman was presiding over the meeting in Islamabad that received and examined testimonies from across the country about the moon sighting.
September 21 (Thursday) is the first day of Muharram in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries.
