Not boasting or anything, but the Mariam Khawaja experience was an experience to remember, it was actually worth it.
Offering the most up-to-date services in manicures/pedicures, hair treatments & ofcourse the spa, MK services were not at all what I thought them to be: in fact, they were super affordable (although they were complimentary for us at that day).
Why wouldn’t a make-up artist who has a talent, charge for her make-up? Easily the most-discussed topic about the MK salon is the make-up charges, & I would want to assure all the girls that they’re totally worth it.
Mariam is focused on the importance of enhancing and maintaining a person’s natural beauty, through her treatments and services. It was founded more than a decade ago by Mariam, and since then, there has been no looking back for this super woman!
Hosting a qualified team of technicians, this beautifully serene salon (and I do mean it, from the ‘secret garden’ entrance till the very end of the long line of rooms inside!) is a little away from the hustle and bustle that is at the main roads/areas of Lahore.
The walls were lined with flowers & the tables with candles as soon as I walked in, and it was all in all a beautiful set-up for the perfect ‘Spa Day’ that all bloggers and journalists had been invited to.
A girl could easily spend her whole day here, especially in the scorching summer heat (when you have to find a salon which has air-conditioners properly working!).
Having a separate room for every service [be it hair-styling, hair-washes, pedicures & manicures, facials and the lot], MK guarantees there won’t be chaos that you experience in salons everywhere if you live in Defence & the adjoining areas (you cannot find a seat to have your services given to you!)
Pampering pedicures are my thing, complete with massages: I got the best massage after a very long time.
After my nails had been trimmed and filed, my feet were soaked in deliciously luke-warm water to help ease my tension and soften the skin.
The amazing BODY SHOP products being used at the MK salon left my skin gorgeously silky smooth. To finish it off, a fresh pop of colour was applied to my nails to leave me having phenomenal feet, and I don’t usually say that about my feet!
Without a doubt, one of the best blow-dries in L-Town! The stylish asks you what you want with your hair, and she gives you exactly that (a thing many salons fail to provide women with, here). She knew what she was doing, that I could tell. I was left with silky, shiny hair (smelling like Body Shop Shampoos). I was amazed at how devoted the technicians were to their work place.
Last but not the least, Mariam spoiled us with gifts from Body Shop; little souvenirs of the amazing experience she had given us. Will definitely be visiting more often from now on, since her blow-dries and pedicures are to die for. Oh, and if you plan to visit, do try out their facials too. The back massages are what I’m missing the most right now.
