Five killed in Khyber Agency bomb blast targeting vehicle of peace committee

PESHAWAR –  At least five people were killed on Monday when a remote control bomb exploded near a passing vehicle in Tirah Valley, Khyber Agency.

According to security sources, the terrorists targeted a vehicle of peace committee in the blast that killed five including four members of the committee and a security official. The vehicle was destroyed completely in the incident.

The security officials have covered the area to trace the culprits involved in the incident, while the injured are being shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.

Last month, several terrorists had been killed during targeted air strikes in Khyber Agency area by the Pakistan Army.

On credible intelligence regarding movement of terrorists from Nangarhar, Afghanistan into Rajgal valley Khyber Agency, launched targeted air strikes in Sattar Kalay and Narai Nau.
