Court allows Shoaib Sheikh, four others to be transfered to Islamabad

KARACHI (Staff Report) – A District and Sessions Judge South on Wednesday allowed the transfer of Pakistan’s software company Axact’s Chairman Shoaib Sheikh to Islamabad for further investigation pertaining to the fake degree scandal, local media reported.

The court also granted permission to move other accused in the case to Islamabad as well.

Hearing the plea of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the court allowed to move Shoaib Sheikh, Waqas Atiq, Muhammad Sabir, Zeeshan Ahmed and Zeeshan Anwar to Islamabad for 15 days for further investigation in the case.

Counsel of Axact opposed the decision of the court, saying that permitting to move the accused to Islamabad is a breach of law.
