MARDAN – Pakistan peoples Party co-chairman Asif Zardari went hard on both Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Monday as he arrived in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa.
Zardari, while addressing party workers prior to a public gathering at the railway ground on the Mardan-Nowshera Road said the Panama verdict was not in favour of both the parties celebrating, noting that the judges also raised the slogan of ‘Go Nawaz Go’.
He said the Supreme Court had not given a clean chit to the prime minister, but still the supporters of his party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, distributed sweets to celebrate the verdict.
“Nawaz Sharif has not read books. If he had read books written by a judge, he would have been able to understand what the judges have stated,” he added.
He predicted that soon the prime minister would have to go and the general election would be announced. On this occasion, Zardari also raised the slogan “Go Nawaz Sharif Go”.

The former president also took aim at PTI supremo Imran Khan for his claim regarding the leader of the youth.
“Imran Khan is four years older than me.” Zardari said and pointed towards Bilawal Bhutto adding ‘he was the true leader of the youth’.
He maintained that though Mr Khan prided himself on being a Pakhtun, he couldn’t even speak Pashto language. Going a bit further he said that Imran Khan termed himself a Khan but had no lineal linkage with Pakhtuns but with ‘Tiger Niazi’.
The political stalwart denounced the federal government and demanded the immediate unblocking of National Identity Cards of Pakhtuns.

Zardari recalled that his government gave identity to the Pakhtuns by renaming the North West Frontier Province as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He maintained that his party gave the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award to the province.
“The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project was also our brainchild,” he asserted.
Reacting to the criticism of Asif Zardari, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Naeem-ul Haq said that the former president’s comments were amusing.
“The entire world knows that Zardari has destroyed the PPP”, he said adding that the people of Sindh were fed up with PPP.
On the other hand, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Talal Chaudhary retaliated, questioning Zardari’s contributions towards the nation.
“The dissenting note has no value,” said the PML-N leader over the apex court verdict on the issue of Panama Leaks.
