ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid says they respect the Election Tribunal’s decision regarding NA-122 but they do not agree with the verdict.
Talking to newsmen in Islamabad on Sunday, he said the law and constitution give them the right to appeal against the decision and they will challenge the decision in the Supreme Court.
To a question, the Minister termed the Election Tribunal’s decision as biased as the Tribunal did not de-seat the PTI member of the Punjab Assembly falling under NA-122.
It only ordered re-polling where PML (N) candidates had won in last general elections.
He said the Tribunal in his decision mentioned some irregularities and mal-practice but these are on the part of Election Commission.
Ayyaz Sadiq has nothing to do with these administrative irregularities.
