ISLAMABAD – This year, Pakistan is expected to observe Eidul Azha on September 1 (Friday) as the Zilhaj moon is likely to be sighted on Tuesday August 22, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department.
The Express Tribune quoted a Met Office official as saying that visibility would be clear on August 22 as weather condition will be normal on the day.
The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is also scheduled to hold a meeting regarding sighting of the moon on Tuesday at PMD camp office, Karachi.
Zonal committees also meet on the same day for the sighting of moon in their respective areas.
