ISLAMABAD – A three-day conference of selected Pakistani envoys begins from today (Tuesday) in Islamabad to discuss matters regarding foreign policy.
Being a peace-loving country, Pakistan wants amicable ties with neighbours on equal basis, the foreign minister said.
Pledging to continue providing moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris, Asif stressed the need of raising the Kashmir issue at every level.
He also sought recommendations from the participants regarding the prevailing geo-political situation.
Pakistan’s ambassador to US, China, Russia, Turkey, India, Afghanistan and some other countries are attending the conference to chalk out a policy keeping in view the regional and geo-political situation.
During the days long moot, various diplomats and officials of foreign ministry will give briefings regarding the countries where they are appointed. Pakistan’s policy on Kashmir will also be part of the agenda.
Afghan Policy by the US in which President Donald Trump accused Pakistan of allegedly providing shelter to elements of chaos and extremism will also be discussed in the meeting.
