SCOTLAND- Actors Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, who played on-screen lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte in fantasy TV saga Game of Thrones, tied the knot last week.
The 31-year-old stars reportedly wed in northeastern Scotland, with co-stars Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen, and Peter Dinklage, who played Tyrion Lannister in attendance.
The couple, who met on set in 2012, announced the engagement last year and happily got married this year. The ceremony was held at the remote Wardhill Castle in Aberdeenshire, which has been in Leslie’s family for 900 years, according to the local newspaper.
The groom arrived at the church wearing a morning suit and greeted fans who’d gathered outside with a smile before heading inside. The bride looked simply amazing in a traditional white wedding dress.
Many ‘Games of Thrones’ co-stars attended the wedding ceremony including Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner and Emilia Clarke.
The celebrations continued at Wardhill Castle, a 900-year-old castle in northeast Scotland owned by Leslie’s family. Upon leaving the church hand-in-hand, the bride and groom were showered with rose petal confetti before driving off in a car decorated with “Just Married” signs.
We wish a happy life for the newly married couple!
