5 killed, 7 injured in road mishap in Chaman

QUETTA - At least five people including three women were killed and seven others injured when a passenger coach rammed into a tractor coming from opposite direction here Sunday in the vicinity of Western bypass near Akhtarabad.

Rescue officials said the bus was travelling from Chaman to Karachi when it crashed into the trolley coming from the opposite side.

Rescue teams immediately arrived at the scene and shifted the injured persons to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) where three of them were in critical condition. They were later moved to the Civil Hospital.

Road accidents are a common occurrence on the country's highways where poor road conditions and lack of policing often result in fatalities. Meanwhile, bodies of the victims have been handed over to the families.-Online
