Karachi-based professor manufactures solar-powered car
Karachi – A professor from Karachi manufactured his own solar powered automatic car capable of speed as much as 50 km per hour.
Professor Abid Karim, a Ph.D. in Electronics engineering has devised his own car which totally works on solar system and the experiment is visibly successful because Karim is using this car from two years.
Detailing his automobile, professor Karim said manufacturing cost of the car is Rs300,000 and it has five batteries which can be charged from electricity.
"Once a battery is charged it can cover an area of 80 km at a speed of 50 km per hour" said Karim.
The car which looks small has a capacity of four passengers.
