Ranveer Singh shares his opinion on the ban of Pakistani artists working in India

Aggression intensifying between India and Pakistan led to Pakistani artists being banned from collaborating in projects from the other side of the border.

Acclaimed Bollywood actor, Ranveer Singh, shared his stance on the ban imposed on Pakistani Artists by saying, “I am very cognizant that there is this school of thought that one should not mix art and sport with it, they are two different realms.”

He added, “But at the same time, us as artists and sportsmen, we are not sacrificing the same way that some of our compatriots are. Art and sports are different realms. The boundaries should be different.”

This week Pakistan shot down two Indian fighter jets that had breached the country’s airspace, taking pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman into custody.

As a peace gesture, Pakistan released the captured pilot on Friday.
