'Homegoing rally': 38-foot long bomb-proof container prepared for Nawaz Sharif
ISLAMABAD - The ruling party PML-N has installed a 38-foot long bomb-proof container for former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's four days travel to Lahore via Grand Trunk Road (GT Road).

The container, similar to the one used by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan during the 2014 sit-in includes a luxury room, rest room, bathroom and a separate meeting room. Moreover, separate compartments have been built for drawing room and bedroom, a party official said.

"A glass dais and a mic has also been installed outside the vehicle for addressing the public gathering in different cities", he added.

Apart from the container, a bullet-proof vehicle is also part of the entourage that has departed for Lahore from the capital.

The GT Road show of the ruling party is aimed at mustering public support after the Supreme Court of Pakistan disqualified Nawaz Sharif on July 28.
