Govt committed to promote free and vibrant media: PM
ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said the government believed in free and independent media which can play crucial role to make the country progress and development.
The prime minister stated this while extending best wishes to the newly elected representative body of All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS), reported Radio Pakistan.

The prime minister said that print media has played an important role in strengthening democracy, adding that the government would extend all possible assistance and support for the promotion and development of free and vibrant media.

The prime minister hoped that the elected body will make efforts for the betterment of print media industry and people associated with it.

Meanwhile, Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb also congratulated the newly elected office bearers of All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS).

Rupee exchange rate to US Dollar, Euro, Pound, Dirham, and Riyal - 18 April 2024

Pakistani currency continues to gain against US Dollar and other currencies on April 18, 2024. US dollar was being quoted at 277.2 for buying and 280.3 for selling.

Euro comes down to 293 for buying and 296 for selling while British Pound stands at 342.25 for buying, and 345.65 for selling.

UAE Dirham AED was at 75.25 and Saudi Riyal's new rates was at 73.30.
