Ed Sheeran confirms marriage to long-term girlfriend Cherry Seaborn

Hate to break it out to you ladies but Ed Sheeran is officially a married man!

Grammy award winner, Ed Sheeran, who reportedly tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn in December has now confirmed they are married. The lovebirds wed in a ceremony which saw just 40 close friends and family in attendance, according to a report in The Sun.



Ed Sheeran revealed this on Friday in a new interview on YouTube with Charlamagne The God.

The interviewer had asked Sheeran about the lyrics of his song 'Remember The Name' featuring Eminem and 50 Cent which goes: "Watch how the lyrics in this song might get twisted / My wife wears red but looks better without the lipstick.”

Sheeran explained : “It was actually before me and Cherry got married and I knew that we’d be married by the point that the song came out,"

“[I thought] someone’s gonna hear that and be like: ‘Oh, they’re married!’ I didn’t know how that would be construed but obviously it’s already come out.”

In January 2018, the Ed and Cherry, who met at school at the age of 11, announced their engagement on Instagram after three years of dating.

Rumours about their marriage were on the go since February 2019 before Ed finally confirmed it.

Later, while discussing the song 'Best Part of Me, he also shared: “I constantly wake up every day with Cherry and I’m just like ‘Why are you with me? You could literally be with whoever you want and you’ve chosen me…’ I just find that amazing.”
